A.p. Harbor is an indie rock band with members in Morehead, Mt. Sterling, and Lexington, KY. Band lead Andrew Preston is an incredibly creative individual himself, who usually prefers illustrations and sketches to represent his band on merchandise. When he approached me to request a logo, I was thrilled to take on the project. It was a challenge to capture the whimsical nature of Andrew’s style while also creating something solid enough to be used across multiple platforms, including merchandise imprints.

You may notice that there is nothing inherently “musical” about this logo. Andrew specifically wanted to avoid more frequently used imagery like guitars, music notes or staff, etc. Instead, he wanted to capture the personality of the band and the music by incorporating symbolism that he uses frequently in his lyric writing.
